New England Wood PelletsNow available from Crowley Fuel Company, Inc., New England Wood Pellets are a high quality premium grade pellet fuel made from a proprietary blend of hardwood and other wood species.
New England Wood Pellet prides itself on making a consistent and reliable high quality wood pellet which our consumers have come to know and experience. Since the founding of the company, New England Wood Pellet has been focused on continually providing a high heat, low ash quality wood pellet. The company’s success over the years has come through an understanding of wood and the handling of diverse woody materials.
As a “wood refinery”, New England Wood Pellet is a standalone facility that sources clean material generated by a variety of operations such as wood planing and moulding facilities, flooring manufacturers, furniture manufacturers, and other wood products through which sawdust or woodchip residue is generated; as well as from the debarking and chipping of whole logs. Ultimately, materials are tested, dried, blended and pressed into wood pellets having generally an 80% hardwood to 20% softwood blend. Testing of wood fiber and the finished product is achieved through in-house lab testing as well as through professional independent lab analysis. Such testing is done regularly to ensure the resulting product performs to the company’s stringent standards and meets consumers’ expectations. New England Wood Pellet adheres to the policy of making wood pellets that meet or exceed the specifications for premium pellets as set forth by the Pellet Fuels Institute.
